The Montana Association of Geographic Information Professionals (MAGIP) is excited to once again meet in person and we look forward to your participation at this year’s 2023 Big Sky GeoCon!
Dr. Shane Doyle (Apsáalooke), will provide insight and contemporary Tribal perspective to the ancient Indigenous way of life in Montana and the surrounding region. As an educator and artist, Dr. Doyle strives to promote Native voices throughout Tribal and public lands across the state and nation. As the leader of the first ever All-Nations Teepee Village in Yellowstone Park, Shane has much to share about the profound Indigenous relationship to the sacred landscape now known as Yellowstone National Park, and the ways in which that beautiful connection continues to buoy and strengthen Native people and Tribal communities.
